Stuart Curry

I’m a largely self taught potter from Skegby, Nottinghamshire. I went to college one day a week for quite a long time, but more for the social aspect.

Since hitting my 50s I’ve taken it more seriously, bought a wheel and taught myself to throw, amongst other things. I’ve been making bonsai pots for a local nurseries for several years, and had a couple of lucrative commissions.

My big love is Raku and saggar firing. Since starting both of these techniques everything else has been put aside.
