Text Box:

Many of my paintings and more recent sculptures have been influenced by my life and experiences in Africa. I try to capture something of the African colour, light and spirit of the people in my many figurative sculptural work.

Recently I have been experimenting with the Raku and smoke firing techniques enjoying the unpredictability of the results. I also combine natural objects such as stones, seeds, rusty metal and more with clay to create unique sculptures.

I studied fine art in Germany, and later did a post graduate degree in Brighton. I am a member of the Birmingham Art Circle, the Sutton Coldfield Society of Artists, the Midlands Potters Association and associate member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists.

I regularly exhibit my paintings and sculptures in group and solo exhibitions in the UK and abroad, won numerous art prizes and sold my work worldwide.
