After completing a BA Hons in Ceramics with Glass Design at the University of Central England in 1998, Wendy designed for the ceramics industry both in-house and freelance before studying in Stoke on Trent for her MA, completed in 2003.
Following her MA she won many awards for her work, such as the Jaguar cars product design award at the RBSA open exhibition. Her work has been featured in Elle Decoration and exhibited nationally and across Europe.
Wendy has undertaken numerous commissions including pattern design for Vista Allegre and the Ceramic Industry Forum’s Guest Speakers Gifts.
Wendy completed a PGCE at the University of Central England in 2005 and spent several years teaching Art and Design in school and University.
She now works at MAC, Birmingham teaching ceramics and has returned to her own practice of slip casting contemporary fine bone china giftware.
